Making new friends - living in Europe

Das Projekt gründet auf dem Vergleich der Kulturen beider Partnerländer. Nach einer kurzen Vorstellung der Schülerinnen und Schüler untereinander erfolgt ein Austausch von Informationen, Fotos und Materialien über den Ort, in dem sie leben, Hobbys und Interessen. Let\'s meet in our twinspace - learning about life in the UK and in Germany

Dieses Projekt zielt ab auf die Erfahurng der Kinder und ihr Leben in jedem Land. Ausgangspunkt ist eine kurze Selbstvorstellung eines jeden Schülers, gefolgt von detaillierteren Informationen über unsere Schulen und die Umgebung (z.B. Läden, Bushaltestellen, U-Bahn, Sportvereine,...)Die Kinder schreiben eigene Texte und machen Bilder von verschiedenen Plätzen. Sie beschreiben ihre Lieblingsspiele oder erzählen von besonderen Tagen in ihren Städten oder ihrer Religio/Kultur. Der TwinsSpace wird das Herz des Projektes, aber die Schülerinnen und Schüler kommunizieren auch über Email oder schicke Briefe mit typischen Dingen aus ihren Länmdern. Emails from Barney - A little bear travels the world.

Our little bear Barney (who is a hand puppet) has been with us for over two years now. However, he has now decided, he wants to leave the boundaries of our small classroom to travel THE WORLD! Luckily Mr Bower's sister is currently travelling around the world. Her trip will take her from Cananda to the USA, then down to South America and finally to Australia and New Zealand. Our idea is to keep in contact with Barney, mainly via email (he already has his own address)and to share this experience with a class from abroad. As our pupils are part of an immmersive project (all lessons are in English) we are looking for an English speaking class (UK or Ireland). Together with Barney we will learn people, lifestyles, food, nature and many other things around our world. We are really excited. Barney will be leaving in October! mehr dazu

Robbie travels Europe

Robbie the Rabbit is the class buddy (a cuddly toy) of 28 German pupils in Hamburg, who attend an English immersive class. Robbie's plan is to travel and meet other students in Europe. He is very interested in visiting England, since he already speaks English and understands a great deal. Before Robbie goes travelling we'd take some pictures of his life in Hamburg, which takes mainly place in our school. Over the weekend Robbie always goes to stay with one of our pupils rather than spending the weekend alone in the classroom. Robbie is very much looking forward to his adventure! mehr dazu
